PASTURISATION PRODUCTION OPERATIVE (ROTATING)


Job Description:

Production and Machine Operative Wanted (Working in Food Production Sector).

Full-time, Temporary to Permanent. Monday to Friday, 40-Hours Per Week.

Rotating Shift Patterns (Structured Weekly / Fortnightly):

  • 08:00am till 16:15pm / 16:00pm till 00:15am.

Hourly Pay Rates:

  • Trial Shift £12.60ph / Entry Level £12.90ph / Experienced Food Production and Machine Operator Candidate up to £13.65ph.
  • Trial shifts will last a few days, if successful at trial, then you will move to a full-time, temporary to permanent position, and your hourly pay rate will increase to £12.90.
  • After successful completion of your 12-week probation you will have an assessment and salary review, and you could receive up to £13.65 per hour.

Due to rural location and no bus or train links, having a Car or Motorbike is essential.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled food production operative / pasteurizer to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring food production equipment to ensure the safety and quality of our products. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and compliance with health regulations.

You must be able to work a rotating shift pattern, you will not be able to just work one shift and not the other, this is due to production quota targets.

Duties:

  • Operate machinery, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates during the pasteurisation process to guarantee product safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch numbers, temperatures, and processing times.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures for equipment and work areas.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in pasteurisation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pasteurisation processes and food safety regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts as required by production schedules.
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
