Warehouse Forklift Operative

Job Description:

You must have experience driving Forklift Truck and have a valid forklift training certificate or license.

You must have a car or motorbike to be able to get to site location.

Full-time Hours: Monday to Friday (No Weekends).

Shift Pattern - 14:00 till 22:15, (8-Hours Per Day, 40-Hours Per Week).

Hourly Pay Rate: £12.50 to £13.20.

Temporary to Permanent (12-Week probation period)

Pay review after successful completion of probation period.

Overtime paid at time and a half.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced forklift truck driver, (ideally someone with either Counterbalance, Reach, Pivot Steer, Bendi or Flexi Forklift driving experience), and you have worked in a warehouse, storage, and distribution centre environment.

You will support the production and logistics teams in a variety of ways, with different duties, tasks, and responsibilities. You will have opportunities to learn new skills and complete specialist training if you want to.

Job Overview:

  • Working in a busy warehouse cold storage environment as a Forklift Truck Driver.
  • Goods-in and Goods-out, loading, stacking (manually and with forklift).
  • Helping warehouse team with manual lifting and carrying duties.
  • Helping production team when needed.
  • Working in-doors and out-doors, as well as in an ambient / freezer environment.

Essentials / Desirables:

  • Forklift Truck Driving License or training certificate and experience (ideally Pivot Steer or Bendi or Flexi).
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25KG.
  • Able to manually stack boxes and containers.
  • Own Transport (due to rural location between Southampton and Winchester).
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent full-time basis.
  • Living in Hampshire so attend interview and site tour.
  • Able to work in minus 18-degree chiller storage, as well as outside in the yard.
