Job Description: Night Shift Warehouse Operatives Wanted! Hourly Pay Rate: £12.90 to £12.97. Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 5pm Start, working until job is finished. You could be working up to 3am on some shifts. Weekly Paid, Part-Time and Full-time hours available. Employed on an on-going Temporary or Temporary to Permanent basis. Job Summary We are seeking immediately available warehouse operatives that can work night shifts. Responsible for various picking and packing tasks of small to medium products and parts, identifying through product codes and visual matching, within the warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations in receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, as well as lifting, and carrying up to 25KG. Responsibilities - Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and organisation of goods.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading, and unloading lorries.
- Conduct regular checks on inventory levels and report discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements - Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques and practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stocking procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
